THE PROBLEM

The big suppliers won't take on what makes your product different.

You need packaging that fits your product, survives the supply chain, and looks like your brand. Most manufacturers hand you a catalogue and a minimum order. When your product is new, awkward, premium or simply different, that’s not good enough.

THE PPI DIFFERENCE

An in-house design studio that engineers around your product.

PPI’s design, engineering and manufacturing all sit under one Australian roof. That means your pack is designed for brand impact, engineered for protection, and proven for production — together, by one accountable team, with no handoffs to slow it down. Your challenge is our brief.

Design and protection, solved together

Structural engineering that survives transit and branding that sells on shelf — designed as one pack, not bolted on.

No handoffs, faster timelines

Design, prototyping and manufacturing under one roof means fewer delays, no finger-pointing, and a pack that's ready for your launch date.

A design partner, not a catalogue

We start from your product, your brand and your challenge — Australian-made, with local prototyping you can put your hands on.

Full in-house capability

Whatever your product needs,

we design and make it.

One studio, the full range — so you’re never handed off to a second supplier mid-project.

MEET THE STUDIO

You'll work with the
people who design and make your pack.

No account-manager relay. Our in-house design and engineering team works with you directly — from your
first challenge, to the prototype in your hands, to the run that ships. It’s the difference between a supplier and a design partner.

WHY PPI

Volume suppliers optimise for boxes. We optimise for your brand.

The large suppliers are built to run standard cartons at scale. When your product needs something custom, considered and on-brand, that’s exactly where we start.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your lead times?

It depends on the project, but after the order is placed or artwork is approved, lead times are generally 4–6 weeks. If you have a specific deadline, we'll recommend the most suitable production schedule.

What printing and finishing options do you offer?

We offer a range of printing methods, including flexographic (flexo), lithographic (litho), and digital printing.

Finishing options include embossing, debossing, foil stamping, varnishes, and speciality finishes, depending on your project. We recommend the most suitable print method and finish based on your artwork, quantity, and budget.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There isn't a hard-and-fast rule. It depends on the type of packaging, the manufacturing process, and what's most economical for the project.

While larger production runs are generally more cost-effective, we recommend the most suitable production quantity based on your requirements.

Do you manufacture locally or offshore?

We offer both local and offshore manufacturing.

The best option depends on the packaging solution. For example, highly engineered packaging with complex die-cutting is often manufactured locally to maintain close control over the process, while high-volume retail packaging can be produced more efficiently offshore.

We'll recommend the manufacturing approach that delivers the best balance of quality, lead time, and cost.

Can you help design or improve our packaging?

Whether you're developing a new packaging concept or improving an existing one, our team designs solutions tailored to your product, packing process, and business objectives.

If your packaging is causing product damage, increasing freight costs, or creating inefficiencies during packing, we'll redesign the solution to improve performance.

Do you offer other types of packaging?

Our primary focus is custom cardboard packaging, including retail packaging, shipping cartons, protective packaging, industrial packaging, point-of-sale displays, and eCommerce packaging.

If your project requires other packaging products, such as bags, tissue paper, or other packaging consumables, we can point you in the right direction or help source them through our trusted network of suppliers.

Is your packaging sustainable?

Yes. We are FSC® certified and manufacture packaging using FSC®-certified board and recyclable corrugated materials.

We also design packaging solutions that reduce unnecessary material use and replace less sustainable materials with fibre-based alternatives wherever possible.
